You’re probably an app master and already know how to remove them from your device. This story is definitely worth sharing, folks. I compiled a list of Communist China-based apps you should get off your phone now. It’s hard to tell what’s legit and what you should avoid. No, you can’t trust them all, but scan for reports of strange phone behavior after installation. Turn off access to your camera, microphone, GPS location and anything else you can. (Temu’s e-commerce buddy Pinduoduo does this.) Biometrics (like fingerprint and face scans) should be stored locally, not sent back to an app’s servers.Keep these security smarts in mind before you hit “install” on Temu: Don’t see the big deal? Think about all you do on your phone: Have private conversations with friends, log into your bank app, type in passwords, enter your credit card info and more. … the more you should consider whether it’s worth having on your smartphone. No Bueno! The more permissions an app requests That makes your account so much easier for thieves to breach. To make matters worse, Temu does not support two-factor authentication (2FA). I hope the above helps anyone who encountered this annoying issue.I saw this coming. I do not guarantee any results nor I recommend the above - it is just a suggestion as for me it was the last resort and I was desperate for a solution and took into the consideration the implications. Previous I tried everything from reboot the mobile phone, deleting cache, even factory reset deleting all my data ( annoying !!!!) - nothing worked, only the above.ĭisclaimer - using the engineering mode is risky, be extra careful when using it and I personally recommend not touching anything other than something that says "test" or "Calibration" in the fingerprint menu. NOTE - only the 10minutes unlock code worked for meĪfter running all the fingerprint diagnostics in the engineering mode, something simply sorted out and the fingerprint scanner start working properly - and I'm not entirely sure what did, just tried all the tests and calibration in the fingerprint sensor menu. In order to unlock it, I followed the instructions here. I used engineering mode calibration tests from the *#808# secret code that is locked by default. I was frustrated with a similar issue - registering new fingerprint result with screen is dirty errors, but eventually registering new fingers, unlocking the screen is simply impossible and doesn't recognizes the fingerprints (tried with 4 of'em) Tl dr - I found a solution that worked for me! ![]()
